Nelson and Colne College Group joined over 250 local businesspeople last week to celebrate excellence in enterprise within the Ribble Valley at the Ribble Valley Business Awards.
The various awards up for grabs recognised local excellence in a variety of fields including social media, customer service, hospitality, tourism and health and wellbeing just to name a few.
As a College Group, we would like to extend our congratulations to all of the finalists and the winners on the night, with particular kudos to Castle Supported Living, the winners of the workforce development award which was sponsored by Nelson and Colne College Group. The award recognised Castle as the employer that has shown the greatest commitment to developing their workforce in the last year.
The big winners of the night took home the Beacon Award, an honour presented to the business with the most inspirational submission of all the entrants. This year’s winner was Bowland Wild Boar Park, who walked away with two awards on the night, with the Tourism Award going to them as well as the Beacon Award.
Overall, the ceremony was a huge success. Winners were crowned at Mytton Fold on the 23rd of March and with over 250 local businesspeople in attendance, the ceremony represented the diverse and varying range of local enterprises that are reaping the successes of their hard work within the Ribble Valley area.
As a College Group, we are eager to support our community and the thriving businesses within it. As such, it was a great honour for us to be able to sponsor the Workforce Development Award and to be involved in this year’s Ribble Valley Business Awards. We hope that the success that these businesses have seen over the last year continues to grow and we are eagerly awaiting next year’s event already.
