9,600 bricks have been donated to Accrington and Rossendale College to help bricklaying students learn their craft.
The generous donation of high-quality bricks was made by Michelmersh Brick Holdings PLC to Bricklaying Level 1 learners on 14th January 2025.
The materials will be used in the students’ hands-on training, providing an invaluable opportunity to enhance their practical skills.
Ayub Moosa, Head of Department for Construction at Accrington and Rossendale College, expressed his gratitude: “This donation provides a valuable opportunity for Bricklaying Level 1 learners to develop their practical skills using high-quality materials.
“The bricks will be used in hands-on training sessions, helping students gain experience and confidence as they prepare for future careers in construction.
“I’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Michelmersh for their unwavering support, which will have a lasting impact on the students’ learning experiences.”
Michelmersh’s support will enable students to build and refine their skills in real-world scenarios, ensuring they are equipped with the expertise and confidence needed to succeed in the competitive construction industry.
The bricks will form the foundation of numerous practical exercises, from basic wall construction to more advanced bricklaying techniques.
