The Rally Challenge will see a host of rally cars including Group B Rally Cars do a demonstration at Accrington and Rossendale College from 10am – 4pm, alongside food and activity stalls suitable for all the family, which is free for the public to attend. There will also be a static display of cars at Accrington and Rossendale College, plus a static display outside Accrington Market Hall.
The Treasure Hunt, Car Show and Rally Challenge will run alongside The Chocolate Festival sponsored by Property Shop and The Soapbox Challenge sponsored by Emerson and Renwick, a true town takeover to remember, with something for everyone.
Tom Preston, Managing Director of Hippo Motor Group, commented:
“We are working in partnership with Hyndburn Borough Council and organisers, Scott Dawson Advertising, to bring something new and exciting to #AmazingAccrington. Not only does the treasure hunt provide some fun for families, but also helps honour and remember the Accrington Pals Battalion who risked their lives serving in the war. It will be an incredible day and there are thousands of people expected to attend. I’m an accomplished rally driver myself, my Skoda rally car will be on a display in the town centre on the new town square from 10am. I’m really looking forward to sharing the experience with other car enthusiasts as well as the local community.”
