Thomas began as a Level 2 Apprentice with Pendle Engineering and has been building on his skills, knowledge and experience ever since.
He graduated in September from Nelson and Colne College University Centre with his HNC in Engineering achieved, and immediately progressed on to the HND to continue his learning and secure his future with qualifications that will support his career aspirations.
Thomas said: “I would recommend Higher Education to others as Nelson and Colne College Group it is very well-established and has a high standard of teaching and results across the board.
“The qualifications I have gained in Engineering will help and allow me to progress further up the ladder in higher skilled and better paid jobs.
“No day is the same in Engineering, and every day is a challenge that can help improve my ability to problem solve and take up new opportunities that arise in the sector. The ultimate ambition is to progress into management in the future.”
