Course Overview
AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting is the intermediate level of the AAT Accounting Qualification and offers technical training in accounting. The main purpose of Level 3 is to provide you with specialist knowledge and skills to gain employment in an accounting role and/or the opportunity to progress to further qualifications in accountancy or a related field. At the intermediate level, you will master more complex financial processes, including final accounts for sole traders and partnerships, reports and returns and professional ethics.
What will I learn?

- Basic principles of costing
- Cash management
- Extending the Trial Balance using accounting adjustments
- Preparing accounts for partnerships
- Preparing and completing VAT returns
- Preparing final accounts for some traders
- Principles of accounts preparation
- Principles of cash management
- Principles of costing
- Principles of VAT
- Professional ethics in accounting and finance
- Providing cost and revenue information
- Spreadsheet software.
How will the course be assessed?
The above units will be assessed using computer based exams.
