Customer Service Apprentice at Prefix Systems

We have a fantastic opportunity for a confident, energetic and eager Customer Service Apprentice with charisma and determination to join our award-winning team at Prefix Systems, a leading conservatory roof system manufacturer and aluminium fabrication specialist. This opportunity is for you if you are keen to be part of a business that’s passionate about providing customers with first class levels of service, both before and after sales, setting us apart from other conservatory system fabricators.

We work across a broad customer base which includes large construction organisations, private housebuilders and home improvement companies. Our business is part a larger group of Prefix Systems companies with locations across the UK.

As part of the apprenticeship programme you will receive on the job training from our dedicated customer services team. You will also undertake a variety of placements across the business to further develop your knowledge and skills, enabling you to become a valuable member of the team. Your formal training delivered by the external training provider will be directly relevant to your day to day activities in the workplace.

You must be able to work well with people and demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules.

The role:

  • Answering inbound telephone calls and making outbound calls in a professional manner
  • Answering inbound telephone calls and making outbound calls in a professional manner
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers via email and telephone to efficiently rectify complaints and queries
  • Ensuring corrective actions are implemented when required
  • Liaising with couriers regarding lost/missing orders and replacement parts
  • Helping to drive customer satisfaction through feedback and process improvement
  • Other general office administration.

  • Although on the job training will be provided, confident communication skills with a good telephone manner are highly desirable.

Qualifications required:

  • 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above including Maths and English (desirable)
  • Any further education qualifications (desirable).

 

As part of your package you will receive an above apprenticeship rate of pay subject to a successful 6 month review point, enhanced holiday entitlement and access to the company pension scheme. Normal Company working hours are Monday to Thursday 8am until 5pm and Friday 8am until 4pm.
